Otis is the technical backbone of Core Industries. He designs and builds the systems that power every product — from architecture to deployment. His approach is deliberate: build it right the first time, and make it fast enough that users don't have to think about the technology.
He leads product development, engineering, and technical strategy. Every line of code ships through his vision of what industry-specific software should feel like.
Why we started Core Industries
Paul and Otis saw the same problem from different angles. Paul, through years of working directly with businesses across industries, kept hearing the same frustration: “The software we use wasn't built for what we do.”
Otis, building software for years, knew exactly why — the tech industry optimizes for scale, not fit. Companies build horizontal platforms and expect every industry to adapt. But a contractor doesn't work like a marketing agency, and a property manager doesn't work like a SaaS startup.
Core Industries was born from that gap. The idea that if you care enough to learn an industry before you build for it, you can create tools that feel like they were made by someone who's been in the trenches — because the people behind them actually took the time to understand.
